This Week's Weird News 4/11/25

An unsightly 'mystery creature' filmed in Colorado, sightings of legendary cryptids, and a bizarre chicken theft that required police intervention were among the weird and wondrous stories to cross our desk this past week on Coast to Coast AM.

A couple of compelling eyewitness accounts of possible encounters with legendary cryptids popped up in the news this past week. First, in Colorado, a woman reported seeing what appeared to be an eight-foot-tall figure slowly lumbering along a gravel road in front of her home. The sheer size of the strange traveler made the witness, who had never seen anything like it in five decades of living on the remote property, believe it may have been Bigfoot. This week also saw what may have been the second Loch Ness Monster sighting of the year as a visitor to the iconic site spotted a strange anomaly that seemingly created bubbles on the water before briefly surfacing and then vanishing back down into the deep.

A pair of puzzling pieces of footage made headlines this past week beginning with a video of a creepy 'mystery creature' spotted in Colorado. The unsightly animal seen in the city of Pueblo sparked all manner of speculation after it was showcased on a local news broadcast to the amusing bewilderment of the anchors. While some likened the beast to the infamous chupacabra, wildlife experts ultimately indicated that it was likely a raccoon with mange. Meanwhile, in Mexico, a security camera captured a chilling scene wherein a translucent figure atop a similarly ghostly horse passed down a road in the middle of the night. Some viewers of the viral video suggested that the eerie footage may be that of a legendary 'ghost horseman,' known as El Charro Negro.

Easily the weirdest story of the week came by way of Washington State where a man was arrested for allegedly stealing his ex-girlfriend's pet chicken. According to his former paramour, the curious caper began when the unnamed suspect burst into her home, snatched the beloved bird, and fled the scene. Responding to the odd call, police caught the chicken bandit hiding in a wooded area with the pilfered poultry. Bizarre body cam footage of the bust saw cops coax the bird-wielding man out of the brush while promising that no harm would come to the fowl. The chicken was subsequently reunited with its owner with its abductor facing burglary charges for the misguided incident.
