Former Secretary Of State Baker Remembers George H.W. Bush

George Bush and James Baker

Former Secretary of State James Baker is remembering former President George H.W. Bush.  Baker, who served  under the Bush administration, told CNN's State of the Union what he  will miss most is their friendship.  He said despite the number of  health issues Bush suffered from, it "never really effected his  spirit."  Baker says after former First Lady Barbara Bush died earlier  this year, the former President said he "wasn't ready to go" and joked  that he wanted to live to see 100.

Bush died Friday night at the age of  94.  Flags are flying at half staff at the White House and in Houston in  honor of the former President.  A national day of mourning will be  observed on Wednesday.  President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump  will be among the world leaders attending a state funeral for Bush in Washington, DC this week.
