Winter is swiftly approaching, and what better place to enjoy the snow and splendor of the season than in one of the most beautiful winter wonderland destinations in the entire country?

All questions aside, there are a few towns scattered throughout Minnesota known far and wide for how cool they are to visit during the winter. Be it picturesque ice skating rinks, or fluffy snow as far as the eye can see, something about this destination landed it on a list of the 95 best winter wonderland destinations in the U.S.

According to a list compiled by Architectural Digest, the best winter wonderland towns in Minnesota are Biwabik and Lutsen.

Other stunning winter wonderland towns that made the list include Park City, Utah, Vail, Colorado, Exeter, Rhode Island, Woodstock, Vermont, Franconia, New Hampshire, Bethel, Maine, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Big Sky, Montana, Sun Valley, Idaho, and Leavenworth, Washington, to name only a few stunning, snowy locations.

AD collected data from "Airbnb, Yelp, Skiresort Service International, and Instagram for 95 winter towns" to compile their list. The four variables they used were "luxury short-term lodging availability," "winter activity offerings," "apres-ski scene," and "scenic value."
