A popular Minnesota Roller Rink was destroyed in a fire over the weekend.

Fire crews were dispatched to Rohler Rink in Brownsdale around 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, KTTC reported. A witness who made the call to 911 said flames could be seen coming from the roof.

Multiple fire crews arrived at the scene to help put out the fire, including the Brownsdale, Austin, Dexter, Rose Creek and Adams fire departments.

The fire was completely out by 4 a.m. Sunday morning, September 5. Luckily no one was inside the building at the time of the fire.

Two Brownsdale Firefighters were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation and another was taken to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys to be treated for injuries from a fall.

According to the Post Bulletin, Rohler Rink has been there since the 50s. Brian Gerhart, the town's local auto body shop owner, said the Rohler Rink was a landmark. "If you were in an elevator at the Mayo Clinic, and someone asked you where you were from, and you said, Brownsdale, they'd say, 'Oh, the place with the roller rink.'"

The entire building was completely destroyed and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
