Russell to have surgery, KAT is hurt and the Wolves lose in OT

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Timberwolves couldn't get the job done in overtime, falling to the Pacers 134-128 in Minneapolis. Malik Beasley carried the Wolves with 31 points off the bench, followed by another 30 and 10 from Karl-Anthony Towns. Minnesota falls to 7-and-22 and returns tomorrow night when they host the Raptors.

Karl-Anthony Towns is still battling his dislocated wrist that had him out for seven games at the beginning of the season. Towns suffered the injury after a tough fall against the Utah Jazz on December 26th. In last night's loss to the Pacers, Towns seemed to favor the wrist a few times, before telling the media he had not recovered from the injury "whatsoever." KAT had his wrist wrapped post-game.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell is preparing for surgery after missing the last three games due to left leg soreness. The team announced that Russell will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday to remove loose matter in his left knee. D-Russ will be out for the next four-to-six weeks. Russell has averaged 19 points in 19 starts this season for the T'wolves.
