Crowds kicks Minneapolis mayor out of rally

Anti-Racism Protests Held In U.S. Cities Nationwide

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey [[ fry ]] is not connecting with protesters in his city after refusing to commit to defunding the police. Frey attended a protest event in his city and was asked if he would make that commitment. When he didn't, they chanted "Go home Jacob, go home" and "shame" at him. Frey first tried to give a diplomatic answer to a direct question about defending the police, saying he wants to revamp a systemic racist system. However, he was pushed for a yes or no answer and said he does not support the full abolition of the police department.
