So Stefon Diggs is gone...Here are 3 Names that could replace him in MN...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Carolina Panthers

So Stefon Diggs is officially gone, out of Minnesota for a haul of draft picks (four in total) from the Buffalo Bills. It was a pretty good haul, especially considering that DeAndre Hopkins was traded earlier in the day for far less. The move leaves the Vikings with 13 draft picks in 2020 and $5 million extra in cap space...but it also leaves them with a big void at the wide receiver position opposite of Adam Thielen.

So how do they fill that space? Below are three names, from three different avenues of acquisition that the Vikings might consider.

Bisi Johnson

Let's get this one out of the way first. Bisi is not Stefon Diggs, but he showed signs of fitting into the Vikings offensive system in limited run last year as a rookie. With 31 receptions, 294 yards and 3 TDs in 2019, Johnson showed that he could be a dynamic threat if given more opportunities to catch passes on a regular basis.

Breshad Perriman

The Vikings don't have a ton of money to spend in free agency, but with a little flexibility they would potentially be able to go after a second or third tier free agent wide receiver like Perriman. At 26 years old, Perriman was buried in the Bucs passing game below Mike Evans and Chris Godwin but still managed to rack up 36 catches, 694 yards and 6 TDs last season. At 6'2" he'd be the big body wide receiver opposite of Thielen that could look nice inside the redzone. he finished 2019 with three straight 100 yard games and 4 touchdowns.

Michael Pittman Jr.

If the Vikings opt to seek out a WR in the draft Pittman is a name that would land right around their pick in the back end of the second round. Coming out of USC, Michael caugh 101 passes in his senior season to go along with 11 touchdowns. He's 6'4", has great hands and wins almost every battle for a jump ball. That all sounds nice to complement Thielen on the field.

Ultimately, there's still a lot that will happen and shake out even before free agency opens later this week but the planning begins now for replacing Diggs on field.
