Joe Biden Based His Entire Campaign On A Lie About Trump ?

REAL CLEAR POLITICS

President Trump's favorite meme-smith Carpe Donktum sliced together footage fromJoe Biden's campaign announcement videodenouncing President Trump for allegedly referring to neo-Nazis as "very fine people" versus footage fromPresident Trump's actual statement from Charlottesvilleto demonstrate that Biden is taking Trump out of context.

"Charlotteville is also home to a defining moment for this nation in the last few years. That's when we heard the words from the President of the United States that stunned the world and shocked the conscience of this nation,"Biden said in his campaign launch video.

"I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally,"Trump said in the days after the Charlottesville riot.

"He said there were some 'very fine people' on both sides. Very fine people on both sides?" Biden said. "We've heard it so often it is almost a cliche."
