MN Wild Agree to 2-yr $6.5MM Extension with Eric Staal

After an a trade filled day on the market the MN Wild have agreed to an extension with one of their own. According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, the Wild have agreed to a two-year extension with venterman Eric Staal.


After hearing his name tossed around in trade talks leading up to today’s deadline Staal met with GM Paul Fenton in person fifteen minutes before the deadline. They agreed Staal would not be traded and apparently that he would stay in MN longer.
