The National Society of Black Engineers Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) is entering its 12th year and coming to Minneapolis' Earle Brown Elementary from July 9th to July 27th!
This program is the nation's largest summer engineering program geared toward African-American and other underrepresented elementary school students. SEEK participants will engage in team-based, competitive engineering design activities and learn science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts, under the guidance of mentor-instructors, many of whom are collegiate members of NSBE.
This program is FREE! However, they gladly accept donations, as sponsorship dollars do not cover all costs at all sites. To participate, students must be at least 8 years old and are completing the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades for the 2017-2018 school year and must be able to participate the entire 3 weeks.
Program runs Monday to Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm.
