Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak has endorsed Mohamud Noor, the Democrat challenger for the Minnesota House seat currently held by Rep. Phyllis Kahn.

Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak endorsed Mohamud Noor for Minnesota House in District 60B today saying, “I am supporting Mohamud Noor because I have come to know him as someone with a fresh perspective and inclusive vision who will build strong partnerships at the State Capitol and in our neighborhoods.”

In his decision to endorse Mohamud Noor Rybak emphasized Noor’s leadership on education saying, “I am convinced Mohamud Noor will be a breakthrough champion for our children. He will quickly be a leader at the Capitol on critical issues like early childhood development, college access, and school funding and improvements.” Mohamud Noor is a member of the Minneapolis School Board; he was appointed in 2013 to serve the remainder of the late Hussein Samatar's term.
