Gas prices in July posted their largest drop in six years. AAA Minnesota's Gail Weinholzer says gas prices have fallen on average 16-cents a gallon this month. Even more unusual: Gas prices decreased 30 out of the past 31 days. Weinholzer says falling gas prices are rare this time of year with summer travel, hurricane season and ongoing political conflicts. In recent years gas prices have increased considerably in July due to significant demand and occasional problems with refinery production. Weinholzer says this past month was quite the opposite, with record-high refinery production.
