DULUTH — Overnight lightning strikes kept emergency responders in Duluth busy overnight.  The Duluth Fire Department responded to three separate incidents.  In the first a bolt of lightning knocked out power to a home on Greene Street, but there was no apparent damage.  Lightning hit the chimney of a three story apartment building and commercial business on Superior, blowing apart the chimney and igniting a fire on the roof.  A large hole that was left behind also caused significant water damage because of the heavy rain.  Damage is estimated to be about 75-thousand dollars.  A similar incident at a home in Woodland caused about 40-thousand dollars in damage.
